Hard hitting lyrics, surgical beats and a no-nonsense grimy video make JVF Clique's new video stand out from the crowd. Shot on location in the east midlands, the video takes us on a journey through the gritty parts of Leicester. Having worked on the markets for many years, I instantly recognised the location and it fits perfectly with the head bopping oppression of the lyrics and the overall flavor. The offset illuminations in the rooftop scenes and looming can lights in the desolate undercover market set the tone. The crushed blacks and desaturated palette create an edginess that pulls away from mainstream Hip Hop. And this is British Hip Hop at it's best. Great job lads. Looking forward to seeing the next one.
